My husband decided that we needed to have a boat among all the other toys that he has. So this last weekend we went fishing and boating @ Canyon Lake. We Left on Friday when Mark got off work. When we got to the lake things did not start off good. I droped the keys into the lake. After all that we got setteled into our fishing spot. On my second throw out I cought a fish.
After this we still fished awhile in the same spot. It was dark now and we moved to another spot. Mark got his pole ready with a worm so I figured I would be different and use chicken liver. My pole was not in the water but a couple of minutes and I snagged another fish. I thought that I had lost it so I gave my pole to Mark and he reeled it in. It took him 5 - 10 minutes to get it to the boat. We didn't have a net with us so we were unable to get it to the boat. Mark got my pole ready again and I threw it back out and got another bite. Mark had not had any bites so I gave to pole to him to reel in. It was so small I felt so bad for it.
We had a great time I got three fish we only kept the first one. We got up the next morning and played on the lake for a while then came home. Mark was peeved with me he never got one single bite.
Melissa! Looks like so much fun. I haven't been fishing since the 8th grade. I can't believe you dropped the keys in the lake. Did you find them or have a spare?
My Husband and I have been Married almost two years now. We have been together for almost 10 years though. My husband has two wonderful girls Miranda is 13 and a freshman in high school and Madison is 11 and a 7th grader this year. Miranda is involved in swim team and Madison is doing student council. Mark is full into racing this season but we do try and take every advantage and do some get aways when we are not racing.
